Robby Gordon who is making his 24th attempt to win the ‘Great American Race, will have to race his way into the 500 after failing to qualify the #7 Dodge on lap time. Gordon was not guaranteed a spot in this year’s 500 after having dropped out of the top 35 in owners points last season and will now need to finish well in Thursday’s Gatorade Duel races to make the 500 field.
